Job summary

24 Hour Fitness in Paramus, NJ is seeking a General Manager to drive membership growth, revenue, and operational excellence. You will lead a high-performing team, deliver an exceptional member experience, and relentlessly pursue ambitious sales goals.

You will manage club operations, maintain facilities, coach staff, build community relations, and ensure safety and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, service focus, and a proven track record in retail/hospitality/fitness management.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of management experience in retail/hospitality/fitness with a proven track record.
• 2–4 years supervising 3–10+ employees with measurable development outcomes.
• Ability to inspire teams and implement member and team initiatives through service culture.
• Create an outstanding member and team experience with high-performance culture.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days; training provided.
• Personal Training certification required within 90 days; degree may satisfy.

Responsibilities

• Drive membership sales, fitness revenue, and other streams to exceed targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Provide coaching and leadership with clear objectives.
• Build relationships with members and foster a welcoming club environment.
• Oversee day-to-day club operations, including maintenance and cleanliness.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, maximize profitability.
• Implement safety protocols in compliance with regulations.
• Engage with the local community and represent the gym at events.
• Develop and execute member retention strategies.
• Ensure policy compliance across the club.
