Job summary

24 Hour Fitness in Tacoma, WA seeks a General Manager to lead a high-performing team, drive membership growth, revenue, and exceptional member experiences. You will work to achieve sales targets while delivering operational excellence and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include revenue strategy development, staff coaching, community engagement, and maintaining a welcoming club environment. Prior leadership in retail/hospitality/fitness is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of management experience in retail/hospitality/fitness with a proven track record.
• 2-4 years supervising 3-10+ employees with measurable development and promotions.
• CPR/AED certification within 30 days; Personal Training cert within 90 days; degree may satisfy requirement.

Responsibilities

• Drive membership sales, fitness, retail, and revenue streams, exceeding targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team with a one-team mindset.
• Provide coaching and leadership with clear objectives and accountability.
• Foster a welcoming, community-focused member experience and engagement.
• Oversee club operations, maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize profitability.
• Enforce safety protocols and health regulations for members and staff.
• Build relationships within the local community and represent the gym at events.
• Develop and execute member retention programs and incentives.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Maintain a schedule aligned to peak business hours (9:00 AM–7:00 PM or 10:00 AM–8:00 PM).
