Planet Fitness in West Hartford, CT seeks a General Manager to lead a high-volume gym, drive membership growth, and oversee daily operations. You will recruit, train, and motivate staff while delivering outstanding member experiences in a clean, friendly environment.

This role requires collaboration with regional leadership, budget stewardship, and community engagement. Excellent communication, accountability, and a track record of results in fitness or hospitality preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a team in a high-volume environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in management preferred; HS diploma required.
• Experience in a multi-unit organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead gym team including Assistant Manager, front desk, and trainers; recruit, train, and develop staff.
• Drive membership growth, retention, and revenue through local marketing and partnerships.
• Ensure clean, safe, and welcoming environment; uphold Planet Fitness brand standards.
• Monitor payroll and scheduling within budget; manage inventory and club documentation.
• Partner with regional leadership to execute corporate initiatives and community events.
