Job summary

24 Hour Fitness in California seeks a General Manager to drive membership growth, revenue, and club performance. You will lead a high-performing team, set goals, coach staff, and ensure an exceptional member experience while achieving sales targets.

You'll oversee daily operations, manage budgets, ensure safety, and build community relationships to attract and retain members. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and measurable results in a dynamic fitness environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of management experience in retail/hospitality/fitness with a proven track record.
• 2-4 years of progressive management experience supervising 3-10+ employees.
• Ability to inspire and lead teams to deliver member and team initiatives with strong service focus.
• Ability to create an outstanding member and team member experience with a high-performance culture.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to drive membership sales, fitness, retail, and other revenue streams, exceeding targets.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team with shared goals and a one-team mindset.
• Provide ongoing support, coaching, and leadership to the team, setting clear objectives, delegating responsibilities, leveraging strengths, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Drive relationships with members by creating a welcoming, community-focused environment that keeps them engaged and motivated.
• Oversee day-to-day club operations, including facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and cleanliness standards.
• Manage budgets effectively, control expenses, and maximize profitability while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Implement safety protocols to ensure wellbeing of members and staff, in compliance with regulations.
• Build relationships within the local community, representing the gym at events and attracting new members.
• Develop and execute member retention strategies, such as engagement programs, events, and incentives.
• Promote awareness and compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards; adherence to industry regulations.
• Maintain a consistent 9:00 AM--7:00 PM or 10:00 AM--8:00 PM schedule, aligned to peak business hours.
