Job summary

Hidden Valley Country Club, Incorporated in Sandy, Utah, is seeking a Controller/Comptroller to oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, payroll, and internal controls. This role partners with the General Manager to safeguard assets and support sound business decisions.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting credentials, GAAP expertise, and experience with club management systems; CPA or CMA is preferred. Exempt, full-time position with salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with club management systems is strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High integrity and discretion handling confidential member and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Prepare variance analyses for management and Finance Committee.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate external audits and manage auditor relationship.
• Prepare and present financial reports to Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
• Lead budgeting and cash flow forecasting in collaboration with GM and department heads.
• Oversee payroll processing and benefits accounting.
• Manage cash, banking relationships, and reconciliations.
• Ensure data integrity across financial and membership systems.
