Job summary

The Quarry at La Quinta is seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee the club's financial operations and report to the General Manager. This leadership role requires strategic oversight, adherence to GAAP, and collaboration with the Board and committees.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional finance/accounting experience
• GAAP knowledge and application
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• IT and software knowledge with club IT needs awareness

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) and departmental statements
• Oversee proper recording of all financial transactions
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit and provide schedules
• Oversee preparation of federal/state/local tax returns
• Maintain fixed asset ledgers and depreciation schedules
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts monthly
• Manage A/P and A/R including collections for dues and fees
• Support budgeting and variance analysis with GM and Board committees
