Job summary

Illumio is building containerized microservices in Go to process real-time data and provide security insights across multi-tenant cloud environments. You will design, implement, and defend robust architectures while hands-on coding and mentoring peers.

You will work with SQL data pipelines and Kubernetes-based infrastructure, collaborating with product managers to translate customer needs into technical solutions. Strong teamwork and continuous learning are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Unix/Linux programming experience.
• REST API client experience.
• Go and SQL experience.
• Kubernetes experience or platform familiarity.
• AWS/Azure/GCP cloud experience.
• General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• 2+ years building distributed & scalable software.
• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop containerized Go services for a distributed multi-tenant system.
• Design and defend architecture, and deliver solid implementation.
• Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns.
• Own features end-to-end from requirements to deployment and usage by customers.
• Own operational aspects and improve software reliability.
• Ensure code quality with early testing and integration testing.
• Partner with Product Management to refine requirements.
• Develop deep understanding of customers' problems through stakeholder interaction.
