Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team, delivering advanced technical support for Vultr’s compute, storage, and network platforms and acting as an escalation point for complex issues.

You will troubleshoot platform problems in Linux-based environments, collaborate with customers and internal teams, and contribute to process improvements in a 24/7 operations setting. Remote-friendly with enterprise focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise technical support or similar advanced support role.
• Strong experience with Linux systems and CLI troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of troubleshooting methodologies for complex issues.
• Experience with enterprise networking concepts to diagnose platform issues.
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud/IaaS environments.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication under pressure.
• Ability to work independently in a 24/7 operations environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance for Vultr products and services, including escalated issues.
• Act as first responder to platform-level alerts, assess impact, troubleshoot, and escalate as needed.
• Lead incident analysis, perform root cause investigations, and recommend preventive actions.
• Coordinate with systems administration, engineering, networking, and other teams to resolve platform issues.
• Create and maintain internal documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Support enterprise customer environments, troubleshooting performance and availability issues.
• Mentor junior team members and support enterprise environments.
