Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Support team, delivering advanced technical assistance for Vultr’s Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, and related services. You will troubleshoot complex issues, mentor juniors, and collaborate with engineers to improve support processes.

Qualifications

3+ years in enterprise technical support or similar role.
Strong Linux command-line and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with enterprise networking concepts.
Experience supporting enterprise cloud environments (IaaS).
Excellent customer service and communication under pressure.
Ability to work independently in a 24/7 operations setup.
Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries with technical guidance on Vultr products and services.
Act as first responder to platform-level alerts and incidents.
Lead incident analysis and root-cause investigations.
Coordinate with sysadmin, engineering, networking and other teams.
Recommend corrective and preventive actions from analysis.
Support resolution of escalated customer complaints with technical analysis.
Serve as escalation point for Technical Support Specialists.
Create and maintain internal documentation and knowledge base.
Assist in maintaining enterprise customer environments.
Set diagnostic standards and best practices for support.
Participate in a 24/7 team-based operations environment with shift coverage.
