Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a hands-on engineer to design, build, and run enterprise infrastructure for the Amazon Dedicated Cloud in air-gapped environments.

You will own serverless and containerized systems, write infrastructure as code, and automate deployment across regions to ensure robust service reliability. You will collaborate with security, network, and operations teams, participate in design reviews, and provide on-call support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain serverless and containerized systems deployed across multiple isolated AWS partitions.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code for multi-region deployments.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation across multiple isolated regions.
• Build monitoring, alarming, and observability tooling for service health across air-gapped boundaries.
• Write Python and PowerShell to automate operational processes and integrate systems.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, ORR s.
• Coach teammates on engineering best practices and operational excellence.
• Provide on-call support.
