Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Systems Development Engineer for the AWS Marketplace Special Regions Enablement Team (SRET).

You will design, build, and operate infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation that enables Marketplace services in air-gapped government partitions. You’ll work across the stack with high autonomy, own problems end-to-end, and ship solutions that support regional launches.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Experience programming with languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code (CDK/CloudFormation) for deploying Marketplace services into classified partitions.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines tailored to air-gapped and isolated environments.
• Partner directly with service teams to unblock regional deployments and resolve environment-specific issues.
• Drive automation that reduces operational toil and improves deployment velocity across regions.
• Contribute to operational readiness reviews and region launch activities.
• Troubleshoot complex cross-service and cross-region issues, researching root causes and driving resolution.
• Leverage and build AI-powered tooling to accelerate operational workflows and developer productivity.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support mission-critical regional services.
