Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is hiring a cleared Systems Development Engineer to help US government agencies implement serverless and container solutions at scale in air-gapped environments.

You will design automation and CI/CD pipelines for Lambda and ECS/EKS/ECR/Fargate, and work to reduce toil through self-service tooling. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or commensurate status and have strong software development experience using modern languages, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP or equivalent security-focused certification.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• 1+ years designing or architecting reliable, scalable systems.
• Current, active US Government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or above, or ability to obtain.
• Experience with modern programming languages (C++, Java, Python, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design and build automation, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines for Lambda and container services.
• Eliminate operational toil by creating self-service tools and automated remediation.
• Investigate service inter-dependencies and implement permanent fixes in code.
• Identify and resolve variances that could impact major services globally.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for fault tolerance.
