Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a skilled SysDE to operate enterprise infrastructure enabling internal builders across air-gapped AWS regions.

You will design, implement, and maintain serverless and containerized services, write IaC, and own CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and security for critical government-focused systems. You will collaborate with Network, Security, and Operations teams, continuously improving tooling, automation, and service resilience while embracing rapid

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain serverless and containerized systems (Lambda, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge) deployed across multiple isolated AWS partitions.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code (CDK/CloudFormation) for multi-region deployments.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation across multiple isolated regions.
• Build monitoring, alarming, and observability tooling for service health across air-gapped boundaries.
• Write Python and PowerShell to automate operational processes and integrate systems.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, ORRs.
• Coach teammates on engineering best practices and operational excellence.
• Provide on-call support
