Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Herndon, VA seeks an engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise infrastructure across isolated AWS partitions.

You will develop serverless and containerized services using Lambda, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, SQS, and EventBridge, and codify deployments with CDK/CloudFormation. Daily work includes owning CI/CD pipelines, building observability tooling, and writing Python/PowerShell to automate processes.

Formación

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain serverless and containerized systems across partitions.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code for multi-region deployments.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation across regions.
• Build monitoring, alarming, and observability tooling for service health.
• Write Python and PowerShell to automate operational processes.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, ORRs.
• Coach teammates on engineering best practices.
• Provide on-call support.
