Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a seasoned engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure for U.S. government customers, including EC2 extensions to GovCloud.

This role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, strong programming and DevOps experience, and a track record of solving hard systems problems across Linux environments. Bellevue, WA-based role with global impact.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or security certifications (CND, GSEC).
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
• At least 1 year of Linux/Unix environment experience.
• Experience automating and simplifying development, testing, and operations.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Identify ways to improve tools, processes, and documentation across AWS GovCloud regions.
• Collaborate with engineers to operate and extend EC2 for government customers.
• Learn site reliability engineering fundamentals and reduce toil through automation.
