Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle seeks a seasoned software/system engineer to design, develop, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure for government customers. You will work across teams to build and integrate EC2 services in AWS GovCloud regions, applying Agile and DevOps practices.

Role spans software development, systems engineering, and security, driving tooling and processes to enhance customer operations while complying with TS/SCI with Polygraph requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• 1+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.
• Experience with automating and simplifying team development, test, and operations processes.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Identify ways to improve lives of customers through tools, processes, and documentation, across isolated AWS regions and GovCloud regions.
• Learn site reliability engineering fundamentals and tune alarms to catch real problems.
• Contribute code and automation to reduce toil and improve reliability.
