Job summary

T-Mobile USA, Inc. is seeking a System Reliability Engineer (SRE) to protect the software and systems behind all IT services, including management of scalability, availability, latency, performance, security, and capacity, while delivering software faster, better, and cheaper.

From designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to building cloud-native applications, the SRE enables superior customer experience and product innovation through continuous improvement of operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2-4+ years relevant experience in similar roles.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments preferred.
• Proficiency in one or more languages: C, C#, Java, Perl, Python, Go or scripting (Shell/Perl).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CloudBees) and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; knowledge of APM tools (AppDynamics, Splunk).
• Cloud environment experience (public/private) and cloud migration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes DevOps-centric automation tools for CICD and configuration management in non-prod and production environments.
• Performs environment management and automated server provisioning (VMs) and pipeline configuration.
• Delivers software to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of services.
• Creates dashboards for monitoring and health checks of applications and infrastructure.
• Contributes to cloud enablement and microservices with containerization.
• Maintains reliability and uptime of compliance automation workflows (Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure storage pipelines).
• Builds observability for AI agent workflows and tracks SLA compliance and anomaly detection.
