Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Cloud Software Engineer (Java) Lead Associate to support mission-critical operations in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will develop cloud-native software using Java in a Kubernetes/Hadoop/Accumulo ecosystem, building scalable distributed systems for large data processing and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s in CS or related field is highly desirable; equivalent experience considered.
• Certifications: AWS Dev/Certified Kubernetes/CKAD/Elastic Engineer are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud-native software solutions using Java and Kubernetes, Hadoop, Accumulo.
• Build scalable distributed systems for large data.
• Tackle complex challenges impacting national security.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and also work independently.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced mission environment.
• Assist automating the ATO process using the Risk Management Framework.
