Job summary

Reflexive Concepts, LLC is seeking a skilled Cloud Software Engineer II to join our team in Maryland. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex Big-Data Cloud systems with expertise in cloud computing and distributed architectures.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience across Hadoop ecosystems, Java development, and Information Retrieval, plus work on multi-node installations and analytics using MapReduce.

Qualifications

• Eight years of software engineering experience on complex programs.
• Two years on Big-Data Cloud technologies or Distributed Computing.
• Two years of Cloud and Distributed Computing IR.
• Experience implementing code that interacts with Cloud technologies (Big Table, Cloud DFS, coordination frameworks).
• Strong background in Java, Eclipse/Maven and RESTful web services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Cloud Data processing and analytics workflows.
• Implement and optimize MapReduce analytics in distributed environments.
• Oversee cloud interactions with Big Table, Cloud DFS and coordination frameworks.
• Collaborate on software development tasks within established processes.
