Job summary

Koch Companies is seeking a Software Architect to provide technical leadership for a cloud-native, multi-tenant Short Code Registry platform. You will define architecture, guide engineering standards, and deliver scalable software and analytics capabilities across the stack.

You will partner with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to modernize capabilities, enable data-driven insights, and ensure long-term platform reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing web apps using React, TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building APIs/backend services with Node.js/NestJS/Express.
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases and query optimization.
• Experience leading technical teams as architect or design authority.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (3+ of EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Cognito, QuickSight).

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Lead design and delivery of scalable full-stack solutions (React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS).
• Architect APIs, integrations, and service patterns for secure, maintainable solutions.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models and performance tuning.
• Establish cloud standards across AWS services and embedded analytics with QuickSight.
• Drive architecture reviews, technology decisions, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and drive CI/CD and IaC with Terraform.
• Partner with product, business, and engineering to translate objectives into roadmaps.
