Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer in Phoenix to implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments. You will translate security architecture and regulatory requirements into guardrails, automate configurations, and support audit readiness.

Responsibilities include administering cloud security posture management, integrating telemetry with SOC, and performing risk assessments in line with NIST/DFARS frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field; five years of related experience including cloud/security/infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security capabilities and ability to support Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Experience implementing or maintaining technical controls through cloud policy, scripting, automation, or infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Administer cloud security posture management and workload protection capabilities.
• Support risk assessments, control testing, and audit readiness; participate in SOC activities.
