Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and maintain security controls across government and commercial cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid solutions. The role focuses on risk reduction, automation, and audit readiness, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and secure AI/ML services.

The successful candidate will lead governance, policy configuration, and telemetry integration while collaborating with cross-functional teams and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• Five years of related experience, including three+ in cloud, security, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities and hybrid services.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS) and hybrid services.
• Configure and test security policies, IaC controls, deployment automation, and integrations.
• Administer cloud security posture management and workload protection, with policy configuration and monitoring.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical cloud configurations and perform risk assessments.
