Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and maintain controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services. The role emphasizes hands-on cloud engineering, AI security, and compliance with NIST, CMMC, and other frameworks.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, test policy configurations, and support risk assessments and audits while remaining responsive to evolving cloud threats and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Five years of related experience in cloud, security, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities and the ability to support Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Configure policies, infrastructure-as-code controls, deployment automation, and supporting integrations.
• Administer cloud security posture management and workload protection capabilities.
• Coordinate exposure prioritization and remediation with Vulnerability Management.
• Translate security requirements into technical configurations and provide evidence for assessments and audits.
• Stay current on cloud and AI security threats and propose improvements.
