Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. The role focuses on policy configuration, automation, and evidence collection to support risk assessments and audits.

The candidate will work with government cloud workloads, ensure compliance with NIST/DFARS/GDPR-like frameworks, and advance AI security for enterprise copilots and generative AI services, while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related cloud security engineering experience.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Administer cloud security posture management and workload protection capabilities; onboard environments and configure policies.
• Coordinate with Risk and Compliance; perform risk assessments, control testing, and maintain evidence for audits.
• Translate security requirements into technical configurations within governance frameworks (CMMC, NIST SP 800-171/800-172).
• Develop AI/ML security controls for enterprise Copilots, generative AI apps, and tool integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide documentation and guidance as needed.
