Amentum seeks a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and maintain security controls across commercial and government cloud environments, including Microsoft 365 GCC High, Azure, and AWS. The role emphasizes hands-on cloud engineering, compliance with NIST/DFARS and ITAR, and support for AI services and governance efforts.

Responsibilities include configuring policies, testing controls, and integrating telemetry with SOC and MSSP.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Configure security policies, IaC controls, deployment automation, and integrations in coordination with cloud owners.
• Review findings, troubleshoot control failures, and recommend practical configuration changes to reduce risk without disrupting services.
• Administer cloud security posture management and workload protection capabilities, including onboarding, policy configuration, and monitoring.
• Maintain platform health, document exceptions, and identify gaps in cloud coverage.
• Integrate cloud security telemetry with Security Operations and MSSP support for investigations.
• Coordinate exposure prioritization with Vulnerability Management and remediation with cloud owners.
