Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. You will configure security policies, automate deployments, and coordinate with platform owners to ensure robust security across cloud services.

The role supports government cloud and compliance engineering for NIST, CMMC, and related standards, with emphasis on AI security, risk assessments, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Five years related experience including cloud/security/infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on with Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities and supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Configure and test security policies, infrastructure-as-code controls, deployment automation, and integrations with owners.
• Review findings, troubleshoot control failures, and recommend practical changes to reduce risk.
