Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes governance, risk assessment, and hardening for government‑grade workloads, including AI and agent security.

The position requires strong hands‑on cloud security expertise, collaboration with multiple teams, and a commitment to audit readiness and regulatory compliance across commercial and government clouds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Five years of related experience in cloud, security, systems, or infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud or AWS security capabilities and supporting Microsoft 365/Azure/AWS

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High, Azure, AWS, and hybrid services.
• Administer cloud security posture management and workload protection capabilities.
• Implement and validate technical controls for CMMC, NIST SP 800-171/172, and other gov frameworks.
• Develop and operate security controls for AI/machine-learning services and agents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain documentation and evidence for audits.
