Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian/Officer to manage and develop the COMSEC program across AWS locations in the United States. The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, with travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities include establishing COMSEC accounts regionally, training partner teams, updating policy doctrine, auditing accounts, and coordinating with government customers and vendors on COMSEC standards and policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of network and operating system support, or 2+ years of professional or military experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences (including executives).
• Experience in regulatory compliance management with government agencies.
• 1+ years COMSEC experience as a Primary or Alternate COMSEC Custodian.
• Experience with various Type 1 Cryptographic devices, keys and loaders.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain COMSEC accounts regionally and perform on-site troubleshooting, deployment, keying and inventory tasks.
• Appoint and train partner teams to support ad-hoc requirements.
• Update AWS policy doctrine to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Audit COMSEC accounts and maintain 100% accountability of items.
• Review proposed programs for COMSEC security and advise leadership.
