Job summary

Amazon is seeking a COMSEC Officer for the US Amazon Dedicated Cloud Security team. The role requires managing COMSEC accounts nationwide, training partner teams, and updating policy to meet customer requirements.

Travel up to 15% and active TS/SCI with polygraph are required. The ideal candidate will lead governance across multiple AWS locations, liaise with government customers and vendors, and develop SOPs and emergency plans to keep COMSEC standards high.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in COMSEC, networking, or IT support for federal government.
• Current, active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain COMSEC accounts regionally, including on-site deployment and inventorying.
• Appoint and train partner teams to support ad-hoc requirements.
• Update policy doctrine to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Audit COMSEC accounts and advise management on posture for all AWS locations.
• Coordinate with government customers and COMSEC vendors on standards and policies.
• Develop operating procedures and Emergency Action Plans for sites and partners.
• Conduct semi-annual COMSEC and EAP training for custodians.
• Prepare and ship COMSEC material as required.
