Job summary

HavocAI seeks a Head of Cloud Operations to own change, release, incident, and reliability practices as we scale. You will report to the Director of Cloud and partner with the ISSO and engineering teams to define deployment approvals, manage incident response, and maintain auditable records across environments.

You will lead the SRE and DevOps teams, setting direction across reliability, automation, CI/CD, observability, and safe delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in change, release, and incident management, SRE, or DevOps.
• Proven leadership of SRE/DevOps teams and experience hiring/coaching.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud operations, automation, and production reliability.
• Experience establishing change, release, and incident management processes in complex environments.
• Ability to coordinate initiatives across engineering teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SRE and DevOps teams, setting direction across reliability, automation, and safe delivery.
• Hire, coach, develop, and manage performance for engineers in both functions.
• Own reliability and delivery practices including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, CI/CD, and automation.
• Define change classes and establish change approval processes with rollback capabilities.
• Own the release calendar, versioning strategy, and cross-environment coordination of deployments.
• Establish incident management framework, severity levels, escalation paths, and on-call health.
• Maintain audit-ready deployment records and ensure traceability of changes.
• Translate security/compliance requirements into practical engineering processes.
