Job summary

Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services is seeking a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to guide customers in configuring secure, scalable cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform and automate provisioning across multi-region deployments.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales to deliver migrations, modernization, and optimization of applications while advancing cloud-native solutions. Travel up to 30% for client engagements is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, CI/CD on Kubernetes/Linux-based systems.
• 3 years of experience in project management and technical solution delivery.
• Experience coding in Python, Java, Go, C or C++ including data structures and Linux environments.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ability to travel 30% of the time for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Propose solution architectures and manage deployment of cloud networking solutions per requirements and best practices.
• Design and implement cloud-based architectures, migration approaches, and optimizations with customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to package best practices into methodologies and assets.
• Interact with sales, partners, and customer stakeholders to manage scope, priorities, and timelines.
• Travel up to 30% for in-region meetings and onsite delivery activities.
