Job summary

Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services seeks a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to guide customers through cloud adoption, from secure foundations to automated provisioning and scalable architectures.

You will advise on best practices, help migrate and modernize applications on GCP, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to elevate Google Cloud offerings. Google delivers enterprise-grade cloud solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, CI/CD on Kubernetes and Linux-based systems.
3 years of experience in project management and technical solution delivery.
Experience coding in Python, Java, Go, or C/C++ including data structures and Linux with Kubernetes orchestration.
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Ability to travel 30% for client engagements.

Responsibilities

Propose solution architectures and deploy cloud networking solutions per customer needs and best practices.
Design and implement cloud architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations to meet business goals.
Collaborate with internal teams to package approaches, best practices, and lessons learned into assets.
Interact with sales, partners, and customer stakeholders to manage scope, priorities, deliverables, risks and timelines.
Travel up to 30% for in-region meetings and onsite delivery.
