Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to own and evolve cloud platforms that support modern enterprise applications. The role operates multi-account AWS environments, enhances automation and GitOps delivery, and partners with security, database, and cloud teams to provide secure, observable services.

You will lead architecture, automate pipelines, and implement robust monitoring, disaster recovery, and cost optimization across development to production environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, cloud infra, or site reliability with 5+ years on AWS.
• 5+ years operating production workloads on AWS.
• 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident per contract.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-account AWS architecture and day-to-day operations (VPC, IAM, EKS, S3, etc.).
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and Terragrunt configs.
• Administer EKS Auto Mode, Kubernetes resources, and GitOps with Argo CD.
• Support GitOps controllers and automation tooling.
• Build GitHub Actions workflows, OIDC, runners, and deployment pipelines.
• Operate SQL Server on RDS, backups, DR testing, monitoring.
• Implement IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, logging and security controls.
• Build observability with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry.
• Collaborate with developers on Java/Spring Boot apps to diagnose issues.
• Integrate security into delivery pipelines (SAST/DAST, SBOMs).
• Lead incidents, RCAs, DR exercises, upgrades, runbooks.
