Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an ADC Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in the Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC). You will diagnose, monitor, and automate scalable cloud infrastructure for U.S.

Intelligence Community and Defense customers, supporting air-gapped regions with security-clearance requirements. You will join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team focused on massive-scale systems, platform diagnosis, and performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues.
• Developing monitoring solutions
• Performing software maintenance and configuration
• Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA, Python)
• Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges
• Working alongside development on AWS projects
• Updating/enhancing our current software
• Automation of support processes and documentation of our systems
