Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Systems Development Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in the ADCs as part of Platform Engineering and Emerging Technologies. The role requires a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph eligibility, and involves deploying SSM in air-gapped regions for government customers.

Qualifications

2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues.
Developing monitoring solutions.
Performing software maintenance and configuration.
Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, JAVA, Python).
Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
Working alongside development on AWS projects; updating/enhancing our current software; automating support processes and documenting our systems.
