Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to develop and integrate cloud solutions using AWS, Python or Go, and a strong Linux foundation. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural planning in a hybrid setup, including periodic travel to San Antonio and on-site days in Columbia, MD.

The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge Big Data/Cloud projects, work autonomously, and align with team architects on broader strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Must have experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cluster administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with container tooling (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes automation tools (Helm, Kustomize, Flux CD).
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and shell scripting (Shell/Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving and strong communication skills.
• Willing to travel to San Antonio, TX on average 3-4 days every three months.
• Hybrid work model with 1-2 days per week at Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and improve existing code base for robustness.
• Define, build, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Architect and implement core software from prototype to production.
• Other duties as assigned.
