Job summary

Erias Ventures in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with AWS experience, Python or Go, and a strong Linux foundation. You will contribute to building custom software components and integrating open-source code to solve complex problems, working autonomously within a hybrid team.

The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and cloud automation, with regular collaboration across Architects and developers to move prototypes to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Python or Go) with Bachelors in related field; or 3+ years with Masters; or 9+ years with HS diploma.
• Experience with OS deployment/orchestration (kickstart, Ansible, Puppet, etc).
• Experience deploying/managing Kubernetes (vendor flavors).
• Strong Linux knowledge and shell scripting proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, 2 days per week in San Antonio office.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture for software from prototype to production.
• Develop and integrate software components and open-source code.
• Leverage infrastructure as code to define, build and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Architects and engineers to meet strategic goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve robustness and performance of codebase.
