Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to own the internal IT infrastructure and run it as code. You will manage identity, cloud IAM, and provisioning across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Vercel, using Terraform and Okta. You’ll automate onboarding/offboarding and build scalable, secure foundations with least-privilege access.

You will document architecture and mentor teammates, ensuring repeatable, auditable changes. This full-time role is based in SF, with on-site work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Experience with Okta and SCIM integrations for user provisioning.
• Strong IAM knowledge across AWS, GCP or Azure with least-privilege principles.
• Ability to write and read APIs and automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own Mercor's identity infrastructure and provisioning as code.
• Design SCIM integrations across our SaaS stack and automate user lifecycle.
• Define access models, group strategies, and entitlements for thousands of employees.
• Manage cloud accounts, IAM roles, and permission boundaries across multiple clouds.
• Maintain Terraform for internal platforms and ensure reproducibility.
• Automate onboarding/offboarding workflows and secrets management.
• Document architecture, runbooks and automation for the team.
