Job summary

Insight Global seeks an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to own and advance IaC platforms, governance, and automated delivery. You will design, build, and maintain reusable Terraform-based platforms, automate validation, and enforce change control across teams.

You will partner with Infrastructure Services, DevOps, CyberSecurity, IAM, Enterprise Architecture, and application teams to improve traceability, reliability, and cost management while coaching engineers on approved automation and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering, cloud/platform engineering experience.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC design, testing, versioning, lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of AWS services, governance, security, logging, cost management.
• Experience with container platforms and Kubernetes services (EKS/ECS).
• Experience with Git-based source control, PRs, branching, and lifecycle management of infra code.
• Experience implementing automation workflows for provisioning, policy enforcement, security validation, and deployments.
• Knowledge of segregation of duties, change management, audit evidence, and control documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot infra automation workflows, deployment failures, and configuration drift.
• Ability to translate security/compliance requirements into reusable controls.
• Strong analytical, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and establish standards without direct authority.
• Knowledge of platform engineering concepts and shared platform services.
• Familiarity with regulated financial services or insurance environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance platforms, engineering practices, and governance for IaC and automated delivery.
• Design, build, and maintain reusable infrastructure platforms, services, and deployment patterns.
• Collaborate across Infrastructure Services, DevOps, CyberSecurity, IAM, Enterprise Architecture, and application teams to improve delivery traceability and resilience.
• Support upskilling by sharing standards, coaching engineers on approved automation and cloud delivery practices.
