Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to join a technology team supporting Azure cloud infrastructure and data analytics platforms. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions using Terraform and IaC, with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) in Plano, TX.

The position requires 6+ years in enterprise cloud environments, strong Azure and Terraform experience, and a background in CI/CD and security practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Terraform experience developing configurations and modules.
• Experience building IaaS, PaaS, and IaC solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, landing zones, monitoring, and logging.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, or policy-as-code.
• Strong Python or other infrastructure automation experience.
• Experience with Azure data and analytics services.
• Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure using Terraform and IaC.
• Design and develop Azure landing zones and foundational cloud platform services.
• Automate cloud provisioning, IAM, networking, security policies, and observability.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud data and analytics platforms.
• Build resilient, scalable infrastructure with a focus on security and FinOps.
• Develop cloud service catalogs for application and DevOps teams.
• Partner with Information Security and infrastructure teams to implement secure cloud solutions.
• Translate business and technical requirements into cloud architecture standards, blueprints, and playbooks.
• Work within an Agile environment to deliver cloud platform initiatives.

Cloud Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to join an enterprise technology team supporting large-scale Azure cloud infrastructure and data analytics platforms. This is an ongoing opportunity focused on building secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.

Location: Charlotte, NC; Plano, TX; or Jersey City, NJ

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Duration: 12+ months
