Job summary

LMI seeks a Platform Engineer to configure, operate, and maintain cloud platforms in AWS and Azure for a DoW mission partner. The engineer will implement automation, support deployments, monitoring, and platform security across distributed teams.

You will collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and mission stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud services, maintain infrastructure as code, and ensure resilience and compliance in federal environments.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience configuring cloud environments in AWS and Azure.
• Linux or Windows administration experience.
• Automation scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Infrastructure as code: review, update reusable definitions.
• Source control and automated deployment workflows experience.
• Networking knowledge: DNS, routing, cloud connectivity.
• Ability to work with distributed teams and document operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Manage compute, storage, networking, and IAM configurations.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automation scripts.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, testing, and rollbacks.
• Ensure platform security controls with cybersecurity teams.
• Monitor health, logs, and alerts; respond to incidents.
• Coordinate vulnerability remediation and patching.
• Maintain backups, recovery, and failover procedures.
• Document architecture, deployment guides, and ops procedures.
• Translate platform needs into actionable tasks with stakeholders.
