Job summary

LMI seeks a Platform Engineer to design, deploy, operate, and sustain secure cloud-native platform capabilities for a Department of War mission partner. This remote role will focus on AWS-hosted Kubernetes environments and requires an active Secret clearance.

You will support platform architecture, automation, container orchestration, onboarding, cybersecurity compliance, observability, and continuous service improvement.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with DoD network requirements and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and sustain AWS-based platform services for mission-critical workloads.
• Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters, RBAC, ingress, storage, and secrets management.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent; develop CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Onboard, configure, deploy, and sustain containerized applications across dev/test/prod environments.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, network, software, and mission teams to deliver integrated capabilities.
