Job summary

LMI seeks a Platform Engineer to design, deploy, operate, and sustain secure cloud-native platform capabilities for a DoD mission partner. This remote role centers on AWS-hosted Kubernetes environments that connect to the DODIN and support mission-critical workloads.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, IaC, CI/CD, and security compliance. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, network, software, and mission teams to deliver repeatable, secure platform services

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• 5+ years in platform/cloud engineering or DevSecOps.
• Hands-on with DODIN-connected systems and AWS-based Kubernetes.
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps.
• Knowledge of security baselines and RMF practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, operate, and sustain AWS-based platform services.
• Administer Kubernetes clusters, RBAC, ingress, storage, and policies.
• Build repeatable infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Onboard, configure, and sustain containerized applications across environments.
• Integrate platform services with DODIN, IAM, PKI, logging, and monitoring.
• Maintain secure configurations per STIG/RMF guidelines and operate patching.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, software, and mission teams.
• Create runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
