Job summary

The State of Utah seeks an experienced Cloud Solutions Engineer to architect and maintain enterprise cloud solutions across public and private clouds. You will consult with DevOps teams to ensure scalable, secure implementations and support platform engineering efforts to combat AI threats through automation and standards.

Maintain and improve the State’s cloud security tooling. This role may be filled at multiple levels with compensation to match DHRM rules; telework eligibility is managed by

Qualifications

• Experience 3+ years in DevOps, Cloud/Platform Engineering or similar role.
• Strong scripting ability to automate infrastructure provisioning (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Hands-on with GitHub and CI/CD tooling; familiarity with Jira/ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Architect, maintain, and engineer enterprise public/private cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps and architects to ensure scalable, secure implementations.
• Manage IaC with Terraform/Ansible; develop automation to reduce manual toil.
• Standardize DevOps practices and workflows across the agency.
