RegEd is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to own and maintain on-premise and cloud databases, ensuring performance, security, backups, and incident response across environments. The role involves collaboration with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams to deliver reliable data services.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL
• Working knowledge of database backup, recovery, and high availability/disaster recovery concepts
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure (Azure SQL MI/DB/VM) and security administration
• Experience with SSIS/SSRS and BI/reporting platforms
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL databases
• Education or substitution: CS/IT related degree or equivalent work experience

Aufgaben

• Provide operational and application database services to the organization
• Monitor and maintain database health, backups, maintenance jobs, and index management
• Manage database security: logins, users, roles, and access controls
• Support restore testing and verify backup success
• Investigate and resolve database incidents and performance issues
• Design, build, and maintain database objects and schemas for on-premise and cloud environments
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams on changes and standards
• Assist in estimating effort for new or revised database systems
• Install, upgrade, and maintain database instances for development, testing, and production
