RegEd is seeking a Database Administrator to own operational and application database services across on-premise and cloud environments. You will monitor health, manage backups, and ensure security and compliance while collaborating with multiple teams to improve databases and processes.

The role supports a remote or hybrid work model consistent with RegEd’s flexible environment, with responsibilities spanning incident resolution, performance tuning, and data integrity across SQL Server

Qualificações

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.
• Working knowledge of database backup, recovery, and HADR concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure such as Azure SQL MI, Azure SQL DB, or Azure SQL on VMs.
• Experience with database security administration such as user management, role assignment, and access controls.
• Ability to build and maintain SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and operational use.
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices for OLTP environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, create, and maintain database objects in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor and maintain database health; review backups, maintenance jobs, and index health.
• Manage database security: logins, users, roles, and access controls.
• Verify backup success and support restore testing.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents including deadlocks and performance issues.
• Refresh development and test environment databases regularly to support QA.
• Build and maintain database monitoring infrastructure for alerts and metrics.
• Assist in implementing database changes and code deployments with the Architecture team.
