Job summary

Covenant HR LLC is engaged with a fast-growing fintech client seeking a VP of Cloud Operations & IT in Malvern, PA. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on Azure expertise to run production SaaS environments and internal IT services.

You will unify cloud and corporate IT under one org, mentor 2–3 direct reports, drive automation with Copilot and Power Automate, and partner with finance on cloud costs and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Extensive Azure expertise with production SaaS ops using serverless/PaaS (Azure SQL, App Services).
• Proven player-coach leader with VP-level presence and hands-on team leadership.
• Broad Microsoft ecosystem knowledge (Azure, 365, Entra ID, Intune, Copilot, Power Automate).
• AI-driven operations mindset with governance and emerging Microsoft technologies.
• Solid infra security, identity, networking fundamentals, including Zero Trust and backups.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure strategy and operations for production Azure SaaS and Microsoft 365/internal IT.
• Unify cloud infra and corporate IT functions under one org.
• Be hands-on in Azure while directing 2–3 direct reports.
• Oversee the Microsoft tech ecosystem incl. Azure, 365, Entra ID, Intune, endpoints.
• Drive automation with Copilot, Power Automate, AI agents and modern tools.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, security, backup, identity, vulnerability.
• Own subscriptions, licensing, billing profiles, and cloud costs.
• Collaborate with finance on budgeting, forecasting, cloud economics.
• Present infrastructure priorities and decisions to executives.
• Work with architects to evaluate and implement sound architecture.
• Operate in growth-company environment with multi-hat leaders driving solutions.
