Octaura is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to build and scale our operations platform from our NYC office. The role emphasizes automation, production readiness, and strategic integrations for clients.

You will contribute to environment standardization, monitoring, and security tooling while collaborating with multiple development teams. This hybrid position is based in NYC, with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

Competenze

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with modern cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Linux system administration and debugging.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Experience running scalable, multi-region production environments.
• Strong communication and team-oriented mindset.
• Sense of humor and collaborative attitude.

Mansioni

• Contribute to platform stability through automation.
• Develop a platform of integrated systems and tooling to support DevOps practices.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party software and configure connectivity with client infrastructure.
• Maintain and enforce compliance with audit controls and external certifications.
• Design and implement solutions for secure, reliable, repeatable operations.
• Work with developers to ensure best practices of deployment and monitoring.
• Provide day-to-day application-level support for production incidents.
