Job summary

Posh is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale our cloud infrastructure as the platform grows to millions of users monthly.

You will collaborate with product engineers, data, and security teams to ensure reliable, performant systems and develop automation, observability, and developer tooling across the organization. This is an in‑person role at our New York City office in SoHo, five days a week onsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, or Backend engineering.
• Extensive experience with Terraform and reusable infrastructure‑as‑code patterns.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (ECS/EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, Kafka, SNS/SQS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/K8s), and orchestration (ECS, EKS).
• Proficiency in JavaScript or Python, and automation scripting.
• Strong cloud security principles, IAM, and cost optimization.
• Networking fundamentals, observability, and reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Passion for automation and scalable developer velocity.

Responsibilities

• Design, evolve, and scale cloud infrastructure using cloud‑native tools (AWS preferred).
• Automate deployments with CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker).
• Monitor, alert, log, and trace to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with Platform PM and engineers across backend, frontend, and data.
• Harden cloud security: IAM and least privilege across environments.
• Identify bottlenecks and scale infrastructure with growth.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for infrastructure design and secure deployment.
• Analyze performance and cost across cloud infrastructure, databases, data warehouses, and queues.
