Job summary

11:11 Systems is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer L2 to manage cloud compute systems, including capacity planning, cluster provisioning, and fleet management. This role requires an eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset, with on-call escalation duties after hours.

Responsibilities include ownership of cloud compute systems, KPI tracking, and ensuring high-quality customer support while adhering to company policies and best practices within a global data-center

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on VMware administrator experience.
• VMware VCP or VCAP certification preferred.
• Extensive experience with VMware management tools (vCenter, vCloud Director, NSX).
• Experience with backup and DR solutions such as Veeam and Zerto.
• Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure services (BaaS, IaaS, DRaaS).
• Experience in global data center environments.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide ownership of cloud compute systems and responsibilities.
• Cluster provisioning, alert monitoring, and environmental management.
• Serve as escalation engineer for customer problems, including on-call rotation after hours.
• Provide escalation support to Level I Cloud Operations Engineers.
• Manage cluster compute capacity (hosts, CPU/memory).
• Develop, track, and report KPIs for cloud capacity (CPU, memory, storage).
• Deliver accurate, timely responses to escalated tickets while ensuring customer experience.
• Follow company best practices for cloud compute systems management.
• Maintain professional relationships and high-quality customer service.
• Comply with data handling agreements and company policies.
